Ours is an age of communication and personality. It is the age of the athlete as idol, the CEO as celebrity. But we have recently seen the cost and consequence of such hero leadership. Athletes are role models to the youth that follow them, but their behavior is often nothing to admire. CEOs make millions of dollars on short-term results as they leave a company in lasting ruin.
Outstanding leadership programs throughout American communities have helped create the individuals that lead them. But established leaders are beginning to feel overwhelmed as new business and community paradigms evolve in response to modern issues. At this level individual leadership is critical, but it is no longer enough.
In order to achieve breakthrough results, leaders now need to think collaboratively and with a deep understanding of what drives us as leaders and as people. Leadership USA responds to these needs by helping leaders continue their personal and professional growth as part of a team addressing real community or corporate challenges.
The program is structured in three four-day sessions between May and October. This time frame allows for networking, absorption and application of the course principles and progress on the project the team undertakes.
