Art Currier is an innovative leader who understands that strong plans, teams and programs are essential to help guide the launch or growth of a business or organization. His expertise is helping others develop a clear view of the future; define their values, mission and goals; strengthen their team infrastructure and create the plans and programs to work as designed.
As the CEO of a leading professional interior design services firm, his focus has been to ensure that all resources are directed at realizing the firm’s core purpose of “creating enriching environments for living, healing and working”. He has developed the people, systems, marketing programs and information and management processes with the objective of having the CURRIER & Associates, Inc. team achieve the objectives of a client on every project the company undertakes in a manner that exceeds the client’s expectations.
He has served as a senior manager in, a consultant to or a board member of the start up of over 15 firms and organizations. Art appreciates the importance of understanding the environment of a firm or organization and the challenges to growth. He believes the first step is listening to the members of an organization, their customers/clients and marketplace experts in order to become aligned with the realities if the organization. This allows for a solid context when developing plans, programs, products and services required to realize the values, vision and goals of the organization.
A Vietnam veteran who served as a captain in the US Army, he is committed to personal growth and to helping others realize and achieve their potential. A founding and current trustee of the Vail Leadership Institute (VLI) in Vail, CO (a successful, nationally recognized leadership development organization focused on “Inside-First” leadership principles), Art is a Certified VLI Leadership coach. The chairperson of the Newburyport Leadership Institute, an affiliate of VLI, and a founder of the Greater Newburyport Eco Collaborative , he serves as a commissioner of Newburyport’s Commission for Diversity and Tolerance and a trustee to Kids as Peacemakers, Inc. He was a founding trustee of the Carrabassett Valley Academy in Kingfield, ME (a unique educational institute that allows student athletes to pursue their passion while learning via a supportive and rigorous academic curriculum), a founder of the Triton School-to-Career Partnership and a past president and active ex-officio director of the Newburyport Education/Business Coalition.
With two grown sons, Art and his wife and business partner, Sharon, live and work on the banks of the Merrimac River in Newburyport, MA. He finds that fishing, hunting, boating and skiing help to keep balance in life.
Gregg Vanourek
Gregg Vanourek is founder of Far Horizon, a leadership development practice working in Europe and the U.S., and co-founder of New Mountain Ventures, a U.S.-based entrepreneurial leadership development company.
He recently served as adjunct faculty at the University of Denver and Colorado Mountain College. Previously, he ran Vanourek Consulting Solutions and served as Senior Vice President of School Development for K12 Inc., a national online education company (NYSE: LRN). Before that, he served as Vice President for Programs at the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation, a national education foundation, and Research Fellow at the Hudson Institute, a leading national think tank.
Vanourek is co-authoring a new book, tentatively titled Great and Good: Leadership for a Better World, based on interviews with exceptional organizations worldwide. Previously, he co-authored two books, LIFE Entrepreneurs: Ordinary People Creating Extraordinary Lives (Jossey-Bass, 2008) and Charter Schools in Action: Renewing Public Education (Princeton University Press, 2000), as well as regular blogs and columns for Harvard Business Online and The Washington Times.
Gregg holds an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management, M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and B.A., magna cum laude, from Claremont McKenna College. He serves on the board of the Vail Leadership Institute and lives in Sweden.

Sharon Kitzmiller
Sharon is President and Owner of Colorado Leadership Consultants, which focuses on educational and vocational coaching. She is also trained and certified in facilitating groups of individuals toward personal growth and self discovery through Vail Leadership Institute. Her passion is to help individuals grow toward self discovery of their passions, gifts, and abilities, whether through individual or group coaching. She has served as affiliate professor at Wheaton College and at Colorado Christian University.
Sharon earned her Masters in Family and Child Studies from Northern Illinois University, and worked at Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Illinois as a Career Counselor. Sharon went on to serve at Colorado Christian University as the Director of Career Services and Service Learning.
Sharon lives in Colorado with her husband and four children.

Marla Riegel comes from an extensive business background, with over 30 years of experience in seven different industries. She has been training and mentoring executives all over the world for more than 20 years as a business and leadership coach and consultant.
In addition to being a business coach and consultant, Marla is an ordained Minister and Corporate Chaplain. She holds a Master’s of Divinity Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in communications. She is a Certified Coach and Consultant for Vail Leadership Institute, the KLA Sales Training Group and a Consultant with TranStratra Business Advisors. Marla is also a facilitator for the Denver Metro Chamber Gold Member Alliance Program.

Amy Arthur Packer
Amy Packer is an independent consultant with over 15 years of experience working with teams and organizations. She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication and certificates in Instructional Design and Organization Development. She has been an independent consultant in the Vail Valley since 2005.
Amy’s services include customized training programs and organization development initiatives such as teambuilding, leadership development, and executive coaching. In addition, Amy is a certified facilitator for Appreciative Inquiry and the Vail Leadership Institute’s Inside First curriculum. She is qualified to administer the Center for Creative Leadership 360 degree feedback assessments and the Myers Briggs personality inventory for individuals and teams. Amy is also currently working toward a strength based coaching certification based in positive psychology.
Amy specializes in working with individuals, teams, and organizations in learning the skills they need to work together most effectively and ultimately achieve extraordinary results. Her passion is helping to bring out the best in organizations and their people by building on the strengths that already exist.
Karah Maloley
Karah Maloley was raised in rural northwest Kansas – St. Francis, to be exact. She completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas while playing collegiate volleyball. She began her career in the mental health field after graduating with her Masters in Counseling. After marrying David, Karah continued to work as a civil servant and contractor while living overseas, as he served in the U.S. Army.
While living abroad, Karah pursued her doctorate degree from the University of Phoenix. After leaving Italy, she co-founded and served as Chief Knowledge Officer of EQmentor, a professional development company focused on mentoring with an emotional intelligence approach. After completing her dissertation entitled Humor and Leadership Skills Learned at Toastmasters International as Employee Motivators: Multiple Case Study, she earned a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership in the fall of 2009.
A desire for a more European way of life led Karah and David to Eagle County where David founded Vail Valley Dental Care in December 2009. Karah helped start the dental practice and currently serves as the Business Director. Karah’s work in the dental field provided motivation for the creation of a dental resource manual focusing on customer care. Karah’s most important role is mommy of their toddler, Bennett.
Karah is on the board of directors for the local United Way and is a member of her church council. She has worked as an adjunct professor at Colorado Mountain College and offers trainings through the Community and Corporate Learning department. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercise, chatting with friends, watching movies and playing with Bennett and their boxer, Brux. She’s also a fan of Nebraska football and Kansas basketball.
Kim Langmaid
Kim is an environmental educator and natural historian who has lived in the Vail Valley since 1969. She is the founder of Walking Mountains Science Center (formerly Gore Range Natural Science School) and the school’s former executive director. She has taught environmental studies for Teton Science Schools’ graduate program and for Prescott College’s Master of Arts and PhD programs in sustainability education.
