Over the past several years, the Institute has been refining a wide variety of programming options for individuals, businesses, schools and communities. While each program is grounded in the Institute’s Inside First philosophy, all can be custom tailored to specific needs. The core components of this philosophy, namely values, purpose, vision and leadership planning, are integrated into each program to varying degrees together with other principles and practices as needed.
Build your leadership capacity through a values-based leadership framework called Inside First. These principles and leading practices, drawn from numerous leadership experts, will advance you to a more thoughtful and productive level. This program will use a combination of public and private facilities in the Vail Valley where you will engage in stimulating interactive dialogue and outdoor experiential exercises over a three year period.
Join a small group of peer executives who meet regularly to advance their understanding and application of organizational leadership. The goal is to cultivate effective, ethical leaders who produce better results. RoundTable members help one another by building upon the proverb that says “iron sharpens iron.”
A group of senior leaders whose collective purpose is to foster the development of the Vail Valley community while honing their own purposes for the next chapter of life. These individuals are “bridge-builders” who carry out this charge by supporting the development of emerging leaders.
A comprehensive character and leadership development program for high school students, teachers and administrators. The purpose of the program are twofold; first, to help set life direction for each student by introducing themes that develop valuable life skills, and secondly, to help teachers and administrators develop their leadership approach, both for this program, but also as teams of educators working together.
A program designed specifically for teachers and administrators participating or investing in the Exploring Potential curriculum. The purpose is for participants to adopt a life-long attitude to leading their lives. Our hope is that by strengthening the foundation of educators’ lives, we can more effectively guide students’ development of valuable life skills.
The Institute's consulting services range from group facilitation to leadership development. Much of this work can be conducted through proven modules in character formation, skills training and relationship and team building. Also a business planning process is available using the "Alignment Model," a collaborative leadership process that aligns leaders around the core tenets of purpose, values and vision, and subsequently through goals, strategy, action planning and other critical planning steps. All of this work can be custom tailored to meet specific needs.
